Mini-lift in Tunisia
A mini-lift corrects early sagging of the lower face with short scars and a faster recovery than a full facelift. In Tunisia, Olea Medical's priority destination, your journey is organised from start to finish, in your own language.
Mini facelift: what is it?
The mini-lift is a lighter version of the cervicofacial lift, indicated for early to moderate sagging of the lower face (jawline, emerging jowls). It repositions the tissues through shorter incisions concealed around the ear, for a natural result and a generally faster recovery.
It does not replace a full facelift in cases of significant sagging. In Tunisia, it is performed by specialised teams in partner facilities.
Goals of the procedure
- Firm up an early to moderately loose jawline
- Soften emerging jowls
- Achieve a natural result with short scars
- Benefit from a faster recovery than a full facelift
Who is it for? Indications
- Early to moderate sagging of the lower face
- A wish for a natural, discreet result
- Good general health, with no contraindication
- Realistic expectations, discussed during the consultation
Only a healthcare professional can determine whether a procedure is suitable for your situation, following a medical assessment.
Techniques
Short-scar mini-lift
Reduced incisions around the ear, with repositioning of the superficial tissues.
SMAS mini-lift
A limited re-tensioning of the deep tissues may be added for a longer-lasting result.
Combination with aesthetic medicine
Lipofilling or non-surgical treatments may complete the rejuvenation, depending on the indication.
Preparation, procedure and anaesthesia
Preparation includes a pre-operative assessment and personalised instructions. The procedure is often carried out under deep local anaesthesia with sedation, sometimes general anaesthesia. A light dressing is applied.
Aftercare, recovery and results
Moderate swelling and bruising usually subside within one to two weeks. Return to social life is often quicker than after a full facelift. The result becomes apparent once the swelling has resolved. No result can be guaranteed in advance, and ageing continues naturally.
Risks and limitations
- Like any procedure, it carries risks (anaesthesia, healing, temporary changes in sensation) explained during the consultation.
- In cases of significant sagging, a mini-lift may be insufficient: a full facelift is then preferable.
- Following the instructions contributes to a better result.
