FUE hair transplant: what is it?
The FUE technique (Follicular Unit Extraction) involves extracting follicular units one by one from the donor area (usually the back of the head), then reimplanting them in the thinning areas. Unlike the strip technique (FUT), it leaves no linear scar.
It treats male pattern baldness, female thinning of density, or makes it possible to rebuild a frontal hairline. In Tunisia, it is performed by specialised teams in partner facilities.

Techniques
Classic FUE
Extraction of the grafts with a micro-punch, then implantation into micro-incisions.
Sapphire FUE
The recipient incisions are made with sapphire blades, which can promote fine healing depending on the case.
DHI (Choi implanter)
Implantation is carried out with an implanter pen, allowing precise control of angle and depth.
Preparation, procedure and anaesthesia
After a remote assessment (photos of the donor and recipient areas) and a work-up on site, the session takes place under local anaesthesia and usually lasts several hours. The frontal hairline and the distribution of the grafts are defined with the patient before starting.
Aftercare, recovery and results
Small crusts appear in the first few days then gradually fall off. Mild frontal swelling is possible. The transplanted hairs often fall out in the first weeks (a normal phase), before gradual regrowth. Results are appreciated over several months, with the final density usually settling around one year.
No result can be guaranteed in advance: it depends on the donor area, the quality of the grafts and adherence to the instructions.
